Dia has confirmed the sale of its loss-making French business to Carrefour as well as the liquidation of its subsidiary in Beijing.

  • The French business has been sold for EUR645 million, resulting in a net gain of EUR265 million (profit from discontinued operations) for Dia.
  • As a result, during the nine months of 2014, Dia achieved a net profit of EUR222.3 million, an increase of 53% year-over-year.
