Intermarche has updated its guidance for its online operations and projects to be developed in 2015.
• The retailer will continue to develop stand alone drives, automatic lockers for picking up online orders, subscriptions and marketplace.
• The expansion of drives network will continue, the next drive being opened in Villeneuve d’Ascq, Northern France.
• The drive in Liborune will be the first to test automatic lockers in December 2014. Clients will be able to place the orders online and the drive will be able to deliver the orders in three temperatures types: ambient, chilled or frozen. The lockers will be located close to the drive and will be directly accessible from outside 24/7.
• For 2015, the retailer concentrates on creating subscriptions and developing a marketplace, enriching its online shop with the offer of third-party sellers, an action that would be in line with Auchan or Cdiscount strategies.
