Rossmann Increases Sales Abroad by 33%

German drugstore chain Rossmann continues to grow in CEE and reports a 33% sales increase to EUR 948 million for 2008.
- The retailer currently operates 640 stores abroad:
- 350 in Poland
- 181 in Hungary
- 108 in Czech Republic
- 1 in Albania
- The first store in Albania was opened on 29 March 2009 under the "Rossmann & Lala" label, which is owned to 75% by Rossmann and 25% by former Albanian football star Altin Lala.
- Rossmann plans to continue expanding by opening another 83 stores across the three markets.
