Dia has reported results for Q2 2014 and first half (H1) 2014 ended 30 June 2014.

Q2 2014
•    Net sales decreased 2.9% to EUR 1,961.0 million as compared to EUR 2,020.1 million in the previous year.
•    Gross profit decreased 3.1% to EUR 421.8 million as compared to EUR 435.2 million in the previous year.
•    Net profit increased 502.4% to EUR 200.9 million as compared to EUR 33.4 million in the previous year.
 H1 2014
•    Net sales decreased 2.6% to EUR 3,788.9 million as compared to EUR 3,890.3 million in the previous year.
•    Gross profit decreased 1.4% to EUR 813.5 million as compared to EUR 825.1 million in the previous year.
•    Net profit increased by 331.2% to EUR 211.3 million as compared to EUR 49.0million in the previous year.
•    As of 30 June 2014, Dia operated 6,598 stores representing 135 net openings, of which 95 are Clarel stores.

Outlook
•    The sale of Dia France and the acquisition of El Arbol in Spain, pending the approval of antitrust authorities, is in line with Dia’s efforts to concentrate on markets with the biggest returns.
